Imitation is the most sincere form of NICE TRY.

This weekend has been the Clothing Show down at the Better Living Centre at the Exhibition. We share a booth with our friends and colleagues Doll Factory by the Damzels.

The Damzels have a lovely rock'n'roll frock shop in Leslieville, they make beautiful dresses and have a stellar reputation for doing so.

With the success of the store they find other retailers snooping around trying to imitate their success, with carrying the same lines and decor and design ideas.

Who knew we too would fall prey to the copiers. Or at least they tried. I wish I knew the name of the offenders' store, but I haven't retained it.

Last September at the Fall Clothing Show, Robin watched these girls study our sign very carefully. Flash forward to the present. As I was walking past the competitors' booth I noticed this:

Robin pretended to be taking pictures of the building and managed to snap this of their brand new sign. I think it's kinda earnest but ultimately, it makes me chuckle and I am amused by their attempt.

We will share a trade secret: never ever use dollar store glitter.

That title is a hilarious t-shirt in the making.

I hope you took those bitches down a notch and stole their sign.
