OK, enough excuses

So here we are. Finally. We've only been talking about it since that beach party last summer when we decided our blog would be called Beever Living. And a few months later I have stopped looking for the perfect subject for the first post and just started typing. I think Katrocket might have decked me if I mentioned it one more time without actually doing anything.

I believe some introductions are in order, and perhaps some explanations. This is Trixie currently writing, and I'll likely be doing most of the writing here, as I am the more techie and wordy of the two of us. And because I hog the better computer. The other half of this partnership is Beever - yep, her birth certificate says Beever, but in the place where last names go. It's an all-around useful name for a creative Canadian gal with a wife. And "Trixie", you ask? Many years ago we were asked to perform at a cabaret for YYZ Artists Outlet, and we needed a performance name. I suppose I could have gone with Beever & Robin (my first name), but I was rather taken with some new MAC cosmetics I had just purchased, and the blush was named Trixie. It felt like a good fit: sassy but friendly, glamourous with a hint of trashy. And I'm still here! Trixie the blush was long-ago discontinued.

So welcome to our tiny little piece of the blogosphere. We get to do lots of interesting things with interesting people, and live out the joys and struggles of self-employment. We'll share, we'll laugh, we'll learn. And no doubt say something stupid.
